Games & player pool
What is Remix XI?
Remix XI is a hub of daily football puzzle games. From the stadium home screen you can jump into Career Grid, Career Path, The Chain, Random Criteria, Footle, 7 Remaining, Hit the Target, Draft Duel and Card Duel — each with a fresh challenge every day.
What are the games?
- Career Grid — name a player for every club-and-trait square.
- Career Path — guess the player from their transfer history.
- The Chain — link a start player to a target through shared clubs.
- Random Criteria — name one player who fits two constraints.
- Footle — crack the daily player surname, Wordle-style.
- 7 Remaining — clear the seven hidden answers on the board.
- Hit the Target — pick players to push a stat to the target.
- Draft Duel & Card Duel — draft a squad and duel a CPU or a friend.
I can't find a specific player or team in the search list. Why?
We include well-known clubs and a curated set of players, so very young academy graduates, lower-league names, and some recently retired players may be missing. The pool grows regularly, so check back. You can browse everyone currently in the pool on the Players page.
If you think a popular player or team is missing, let us know via the newsletter signup and we'll prioritise adding them.
How is scoring and the leaderboard ranked?
Most games award a 0–100 score that rewards solving quickly, with fewer wrong guesses and fewer hints. Each game keeps its own daily leaderboard by date (and by mode or difficulty where it applies). See every board on the leaderboard page — pick a game on the left to switch boards.
Scores, dailies & archives
When does a new puzzle appear?
Every game gets a fresh daily challenge at 00:00 UTC, and your progress resets at the same moment. Many games also have a Free Play mode if you want to keep going after the daily is done.
Can I replay older puzzles?
Yes. The archivelets you go back through previous days' challenges. Replays don't change the live leaderboard — each day's ranking only counts solves submitted that same day.
I refreshed mid-game. Did I lose my progress?
No. Your progress for each daily puzzle is saved on your device, so refreshing or coming back later the same day picks up where you left off. It clears only when the next daily challenge rolls over at 00:00 UTC.
Themes & accessibility
Can I change the look of the app?
Yes. Use the home-club selector at the top-right of any page to pick your club — the stadium, beacons, and accent colours across the whole app adopt your team's colours. Choose “Neutral stadium” to keep the default look.
Can I play if WebGL or 3D graphics are unavailable?
Yes. 3D scenes are progressive enhancement. Each game keeps its instructions, controls, exact values, and playable board in accessible HTML, with a poster or 2D fallback when the browser cannot create a WebGL context.
Which controls and accessibility options are supported?
Games support mouse, touch, and keyboard controls. Tutorials trap focus and restore it when closed, important information is not conveyed by color alone, and reduced-motion mode removes camera travel and non-essential animation.
Identity & online play
Do I need an account to play?
No — you can play and solve everything without signing in. To appear on the leaderboards or keep your history across devices, pick a nickname or sign in using the button in the top-right.
Can I play against a friend or the CPU?
Yes. Card Duel and Draft Duel pit you against a CPU, and Career Grid offers same-device and private friend-room duels. Look for the mode selector at the top of each of those games.
Where is my selected club identity visible?
Your current home club appears with your player identity in account surfaces, leaderboards, duel labels, live rooms, results, and supported share previews. Historical entries resolve your current selection rather than keeping an old club snapshot.
Are private friend rooms public or indexed?
No. Invite rooms and personal result-share landing pages are excluded from the sitemap and search indexing. A room still requires its invite code or link, and private game state is validated by the server.
